Futility

This completely resonates with how I've been feeling lately. The futility of life :/

"I see an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables – slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history; without a purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives."

-Tyler Durden (Fight Club)

  1. I love that movie man! I am a little unnerved by it and maybe that's precisely why I had to read the source-novel as well. It's scary how pointless he makes our lives look, Tyler Durden. And it's scarier because we know he's right.

  2. I love it too! And you're so right. He's frighteningly and blatantly correct. I guess we should accept that life is not rainbows, roses and butterflies. He makes me feel so vulnerable :\
